A great sounding album, each song flows beautifully to the next. Incredible.

Tame Impala continue moving their sound in new directions. After the left field, synth-heavy 'Lonerism', which is also amazing, comes 'Currents'. Pure unadultarated, highly polished dance-rock as clever as Arcade Fire's 'Reflector'. Stand-out tracks include the opening odyssey 'Let it Happen' which at over seven minutes seems excessive, but it works so well, with its faux stuck CD sounds and fading drums.....a real pleasure to listen to. 'Yes I'm changing' is also great - though the real revelation comes in the shape of the white soul / funk / disco feel of 'The Less I Know the Better', which has to be one of the best pop songs written in many years by any artist IMHO!! This music pous over the soul like honey....brilliant!!
  • An awesome evolution for the Tame Impala

Their sound has changed but stayed the same. While the key elements of Tame Impala's music remain on this record, Kevin Parker has infused synths and beats to create a more 'poppy' LP this time around. I do miss some of the guitar riffs and long instrumental parts of previous tracks on Lonerism and Innerspeaker, but the Currents frequents catchy tunes with polarising vocals throughout while maintaining the psych-pop sound Tame Impala have become known for.
  • Just buy it then thank me later

One of the best albums of the year. Bought it on a bit of a whim and have had it for months now and gets better every time I listen to it.

I heard let it happen on the radio and was mesmerised by the catchy music. Got the album and can't stop listening to it, very quirky and awesome! 'Let it happen', 'Moments' to name but a few are marvellous. I hope to see you guys at a gig in Scotland soon! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ€˜πŸ»
