  • Classic Album, But...

The music and performance, fantastic. However, on this remastered version ‘Tunnel of Love’ should be 14:29 in length, but cuts-off at 14:15 meaning it doesn’t fade out before ‘Telegraph Road’ begins. The original vinyl version, and the CD were fine, so really disappointed with this.

I had this album on double cassette. I played it that much in the car I snapped it. I took the cassette apart and tried to fix it but to no avail. To say I was gutted was an understatement. A group at the PEAK OF THIER POWERS. Every song is done to perfection. Sultans telegraph going home Romeo & Juliet

Mark is a f.....g genius on the guitar, last 4 minutes of telegraph road is better than the end of Tchaikovsky 6th symphony

Growing up listening to The Jam, The Clash, The Buzzcocks etc I never really got or liked Dire Straits and still dont really but I love the first six tracks on here and never ever get bored of listening to it. Its true quality and worth investigating!! if you have never heard it. Its just so magical because its live and that rawness never worked its way on to studio tracks. Just play it loud and hear the intricacies at work that really blow you away and keep making you listen again.

Great album, I'm a huge fan of dire straits, however I still think the 'on the night' live album is the best ever dire straits album!! But of course this is brilliant, great guitar work on sultans of swing! Tinnel of love also brilliant, must have album for any Straits fan, Enjoy

I bought this years ago on vinyl (which to this day I think sounds better than on digital format), and I am just as excited now to hear the performances as I was then.

For all those people saying only older people listen to Dire Straits – I’m a 13 year old girl, and I love this album and Dire Straits! My mum put it on in the car a few years ago and I still love it. None of my friends have ever heard of them, which I think is quite sad - the only music they are interested in is Lady Gaga and Lily Allen etc. I think my generation should listen to more music from older generations, because I think they would appreciate it if they gave it a chance. I especially like the live album because you can just feel the atmosphere and the guitar solo’s are amazing! I think everyone who buys this album will love it. :)
