Uplifting and addictive!
It’s been 5 years since Sarah Brightman released an album....and Hymn proves that it’s been well worth the wait. A real eclectic mix of songs from Handel to Gospel , there’s something here for everyone. A highlight for me is Follow Me ( a piece created using music featured in the film, Mutiny on the Bounty), a sumptuous cinematic style production that has Sarah’s distinct vocals luring you in...like a mythical Siren.
Fly To Paradise is anthemic, Sky And Sand is powerful too and I can just imagine a dance remix of this being produced!
Morriocone and Bizet tracks also make an appearance as well as Brightman signature song, Time To Say Goodbye ...but this time sung entirely in English and with slightly different lyrics....it’s beautiful.
If you buy one album this year, make it Hymn....you will not be disappointed.
Sarah Brightman’s strongest album to date...
