I wept ...
I am not ashamed to admit it. This sublime album was bought for me as birthday present in January 2017. The now prophetic words of 'You Want it Darker', Leaving the Table' and' Travelling Light'echo around me. Each song on the album addresses some aspect of LC's life - loss, regret, love, life and death. These songs are his last gift to us. They tower and soar as well as bringing us to the depths of sorrow. So then, typical Leonard Cohen. The Master has gone, but his songs and poetry remain for us mortals as we weep. But in Heaven, the party is well underway. So dear friends, dry your tears, ring the bells that still can ring and dance to the end of love. Hallelujah!
Simply the best

I think that this is Leonard at his best.
Deserves to be heard
Of all Leonard's albums this has to be one of the best. The arrangements are superb and the words, which only Leonard Cohen could write have so much depth and meaning - particularly so bearing in mind that it was recorded, in effect, on his death bed. Will never tire of it.
A message from beyond
E. Nobel squeezed my hand as you, Mr Cohen, approached the gates.
Behind us, the Orchestras of Time shuffled in their places, anxious at their task.
"Come hither Mr Cohen with your musical poetry, that men on earth can relate to", we shouted.
"Come make your music in the Heavens, for we have ears and understanding beyond the capabilities of mortals; we place you firmly at our table! Come sit with us.
You need not have worried about death...I gave you 82yrs because you meant so much to so many people on Earth. Now it is time.
In your own time, and with your own voice Leonard, tell us some more of the trials and tribulations of human life!
You Want It Darker
Farewell Leonard C, now for Donald T. 'Everybody knows the deal is rotten...'
Thank you Leonard ....a perfect end pure poetry
dark - deep lyrics, beautiful layers of music and Leonard's gravely voice. a last album, but one of the best, it's au revior
Sad, sad, sad..
The first time I played this album I commented that it was a "goodbye".. A reflection on a long life.. I had no idea how soon we would lose this wonderful man.. The world is a lesser place without him.. But we have his music.. Rest in peace Leonard.. Rest in peace.
Just Buy It!
As a late comer to the music of this master of the lyric. This album is as good as any I have in my entire collection. Outstanding...
This album should be free
This album was released for free to the public after his passing so why are you still charging for it?
