I'm a huge fan of JB anyway, but this is just, well, a fantastic album, full of energy, faultless playing as always and some really good catchy songs that one soon remembers well enough to sing while thumping the steering wheel. The music world would be a much, much poorer place were it not for JB, who keeps alive the spirit of Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Paul Kossoff, even Albert Collins here and there. What I really like are the vocals. On occasion Joe sounds a bit like Roger Daltrey on the "Going Back Home" album he made with Wilko Johnson, which is also a really good high-energy album by the way. All in all, this may just be the best album I buy this calendar year.

Felt a bit cheated and let down at the thought of a fender being used, but I have to admit that the deep throated ruggedness on this album sounds absolutely fantastic. Two sets of drums obviously helped. His best yet!

This is one of the best blues/rock albums I have heard in many years. The quality of the songs and musicianship is obvious, the production is fantastic, giving a real 'live' band feel and ensuring top quality sound and the entire album hangs together very well. Joe Bonamassa is a superb guitar player and his vocals really work here. The other musicians on the album are also top notch. This album is a real treat for anyone that likes guitar based blues/rock and it feels like it could well become a bit of a classic. Nice work.

This album is flawless! Probably Joe's most mature album, lyrically, to date, and as usual, his playing is stunning! The album starts off with a couple more rock-orientated tracks before heading back to the blues. A must have album for all rock/blues fans! This man is taking over the world.....all aboard!!!

Like the last album, 'Driving Towards the Daylight', this is a brand new JB album of completely original material. I own most of his back catalogue - he is an absolute guitar master, and having been lucky enough to see him live, I know this man can play. What he can now do even better than ever though is sing and put all together, it's the complete package. Buy it now!
